Wellness & Mental Health Education

Healing that was built with you in mind.

Camp Robin’s Wellness and Mental Health Education programming exists at the intersection of clinical knowledge and lived experience. We offer psychoeducation workshops, burnout recovery tools, and direct navigation support connecting African American women to licensed, culturally competent mental health providers in Metro Detroit and beyond. Because knowing that help exists is not enough — you deserve to actually be able to access it.

Why This Matters

Black women are disproportionately affected by chronic stress, anxiety, and burnout — and disproportionately underserved by the mental health care system. Cost, stigma, long waitlists, and the near-impossible task of finding a therapist who truly understands the Black experience have kept too many women from getting the support they need. We are not here to replace clinical care. We are here to make it possible.

What We Offer

  • Psychoeducation Workshops: Community-based educational sessions on stress, anxiety, burnout, trauma responses, emotional regulation, and the mind-body connection — facilitated in language and cultural context that resonates with Black women.
  • Burnout Recovery Programming: Multi-session series designed to help women identify the signs of burnout, understand its roots, and build sustainable recovery practices rooted in rest, boundary-setting, and community support.
  • Stress Management Tools: Practical, accessible techniques including breathwork, mindfulness, journaling frameworks, and self-regulation tools that women can use in daily life — not just during a workshop.
  • Provider Navigation Support: One-on-one navigation assistance connecting women to licensed, culturally competent therapists, counselors, and psychiatrists, including support with insurance, sliding-scale options, and telehealth.
  • Community Wellness Events: Recurring gatherings including wellness circles, healing sessions, and community conversations that provide ongoing connection and peer support between formal programming.

Who This Is For

This programming is for any African American woman who is feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or like she has been running on empty for too long. You do not need a diagnosis. You do not need to be in crisis. You just need to be honest about the fact that you deserve support — and we will meet you there.
